1. Install the bridge certificate
Install the Orbit Bridge root certificate before opening the store. It lets compatible phones trust the private HTTPS bridge.
Install root certificate (.CER)Other formats: CRT · DER · PEM
On BlackBerry, save it as a trusted SSL certificate. The exact steps depend on your phone. Only install this certificate from the official Orbit site.
If HTTPS is unavailable in the phone browser, open this page over HTTP to download the certificate.
2. Install Orbit
Version 1.8.0 · 34 KB
Requires a phone with Java ME, MIDP 2.0 and CLDC 1.1.
Recommended. Let your phone open this file with its Java application installer.
Use this if the JAD does not work, or transfer the JAR from a computer to your phone.
3. Open your store
Orbit connects to its built-in bridge automatically:
https://bridge.orbit.lacorte.dev
- Open Orbit after installation and allow network access.
- The catalog loads automatically. Use the header Refresh button to reload it.
- Press Up from the first app to select a collection, then Up again for Search, Refresh and About. Left/Right chooses a control; OK activates it. Choose an app and select its Install button to start your phone's installer.
4. Connection and compatibility
If your browser cannot use HTTPS, try the HTTP download page. Your phone must also support HTTPS to connect to the built-in store bridge.
- The app needs an internet connection to load the live store. Data charges may apply.
- Your phone may ask you to approve installation and network access. Orbit is an unsigned Java application.
- If your phone cannot open this website or download the files, download the JAR on a computer and transfer it to the phone. Support depends on your phone's browser and installer.
